What the App Stores Locally

Primary Gouge stores most study activity locally on your device. That includes flashcard progress, quiz history, recent study activity, pinned focus topics, and reminder preferences.

Account Data

A Primary Gouge account is required to use the app. Account profile data can include your display name, email, selected squadron, selected syllabus, active sessions, and assigned permissions.

What the App Sends

When you submit instructor reviews, instructor review reports, feedback, feature requests, support requests, or incorrect gouge reports, the app sends that submission data with your signed-in account.

Services and Subscriptions

Primary Gouge uses Supabase for account authentication and Premium entitlement records, Cloudflare for instructor reviews and community submissions, and Cloudflare R2 for video delivery.

When you purchase Premium, Apple processes the payment. Primary Gouge receives Apple-signed transaction identifiers, product and subscription status, expiration information, and an account-linking token. Primary Gouge does not receive your full payment-card details.

Technical Data and Preferences

The app uses a persistent installation identifier to associate community submissions and status updates with this installation. Account, squadron, and syllabus preferences support account features and select the appropriate study content.

Our hosting and authentication providers retain technical logs, including request events, IP addresses, approximate city/country derived from IP addresses, request timings, and errors. These records support security, troubleshooting, and reliable service delivery. The app does not request GPS location access or use these records for advertising tracking.

How Long Is Data Kept?

Local study data is used on the device until you clear it through the app's account or device lifecycle. Submitted reviews, reports, and community requests are retained in the app's local submission history while they are queued or available for status tracking, and account deletion requests removal of account-associated cloud records.

After account deletion, limited Apple transaction and notification records, including purchase identifiers and account-linking tokens, are retained to prevent duplicate ownership claims and support purchase restoration. The live account/profile association is removed; these retained purchase records are not all fully anonymized.

Notification permission is used for the daily study reminder.

Account Deletion

You can sign out or delete your account from More > Profile. Account deletion removes the cloud account, sessions, profile, account roles, Premium entitlement link, and account-associated submitted reviews, reports, and community submissions. The app also clears the local account session and local study progress caches after deletion.

Deleting your Primary Gouge account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel or manage the subscription through your Apple Account before deleting the app account if you do not want it to renew.

For privacy questions, support, or moderation appeals, email admin@primarygouge.com. You can delete your account in More > Profile.
